Member of Parliament for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, Alison Griffiths, joined local residents at the latest Flood Avoidance Community Taskforce (FACT) public meeting.
Led by Melinda Matthews and David Alexander, FACT brings together residents, businesses, and organisations to discuss and create solutions to prevent flooding in our area.
Alison was pleased that the Environment Agency attended and outlined some of the steps they were taking. Southern Water did not send a representative.
Just last month, a number of homes on Fish Lane were flooded. Alison has been in contact with affected residents, Arun District Council and Southern Water. However, we need a long-term plan.
Tackling flooding is one of Alison's key priorities as the MP for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton. She will be meeting again with Southern Water and will continue to speak out both in Parliament and across our community.
