Sewage discharges, declining water quality, and recurring flooding are having a huge impact across Bognor Regis and Littlehampton.
Alison Griffiths, Member of Parliament for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, believes that the Water (Special Measures) Bill, currently making its way through Parliament would have been the perfect legislation to deliver a comprehensive approach to protect our waters, prevent flooding and tackle sewage discharges. However, Alison fears it oversimplifies the issue at hand, purely focussing on water companies and sewage without delivering an integrated approach.
We must do better. During its debate in the House of Commons, Alison spoke out to hold the Government to account so that we clear up our seas and rivers, stop flooding, and prevent sewage discharges.
