As we come to the end of 2024, Member of Parliament for Bognor Regis and Littlehampton, Alison Griffiths, reflected on the year.
Alison commented,
"It has been my honour to represent you in Parliament over the last few months.
"During my maiden speech, I highlighted the fact that Bognor Regis is the sunniest place in the United Kingdom, and I spoke out against inappropriate developments and building on our floodplains.
"I've hit the ground running on a number of campaigns on sewage and flooding, protecting our pensioners and standing up for businesses and the high street.
"I was elected to the Business and Trade Select Committee, where I serve as Vice Chair. And I was appointed as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Shadow Business and Trade Team. What this means is I've got an even greater voice to serve you in Parliament on some of the most important economic issues of our day.
"My team and I have helped over 4000 people over the last few months. On issues like access to the Department of Work and Pensions, adult social care and education, to name just a very few of these issues. I've held surgeries and attended public meetings, and I will be doing everything I can in the coming months to do even more. If there's an issue that you think I can help you with, please do get in touch.
"I want to thank all of you for the support that you have given me over the last few months. I will continue to work hard every day to make sure your voice is heard by government.
"As we reach the end of 2024, it only remains for me to wish all of you and your families a very happy Christmas and a wonderful 2025."
